NAH, never!! This is just the price of being a history geek..lol Here's what it looked like the last time I post a pic of my collection: [link]. This isnt everything military I own, I have a few bigger pieces that either wont fit, or would be waay to heavy. Most of what I have is WW2 vintage, since my Grandpa was in WW2, I got some of his things and my collection grew around what he gave me. There's also the models, most of them I built, and the rest of them are discasts, if you build models and you collect things like this, you gotta display all of it together, right? :P lol My newest addition is the USN yellow and grey battle lantern, which works, after I replaced the beam. It's pretty birght too, It'll be my emergency light for when the power goes out :) It was said this lantern came off the USS Poggy, a Sturgeon class Sub that was scrapped in 2000, If i remembered correctly. I have it placed next to my WW2 vintage battle lantern, which is not working yet. Needs a new bulb batteries, and the switch rewired... As you can tell I have a thing for airccraft instruments..lol Like the rest of the collection, most of them are WW2/Korean War vintage, but a small percentage of it is Vietnam Era gauges, and parts from jets.
With my collection looking like a page from on of those "I Spy" books, how many things can you guys ID, or pick out? :)lol
