Series 3 Land Rover

Probably the best kit out there for a vintage Land Rover,this is the rare monogram kit they only made for a year and never reissued. I found it on ebay for $65, talked the seller down to $55. If you look on ebay now you'll see these kits going for well over $100. I took this pic in my backyard, in the clearest spot i can find in our woods.

I painted it in modelmaster Hugger Green, which i found in the bargin bin at Hobby Lobby for $2. I think its pretty close to the light green they were painted back then. I was thinking of either a light blue, darker, or light green for it, but finding that Hugger Green helped my decision! lol XD

I made a few slight changes to the body. I filled in the holes ontop of the fenders where the mirrors went, since I liked them better on the doors. I also filled in the holes right infront of the grill for the foglights. I didnt like the fact they covered up part of the grill I like so much on these trucks, so I moved them to the top, like what I've seen in a few pics.

What you cant see in the pics, I scratch built the exposed framing around the interior of all 3 doors, and also some floor mats for the front. As always i added plug wires to the engine, and bare metal foiled the trim on the body, but I dulled the shine of the foil bu brushing a flat clear over the trim.
