Description

Decided to do alil quick cosmetic work on my Taurus. The headlights were pretty badly fogged, and crazed towards the top, and infront of the beam. So I tried a repair kit to sand and buff them out. I experimented with the drivers side light first. So I sanded, and sanded, and sanded, using the various grades of sand paper it came with unitil it was all nice and even. Then I used the polish and sealer....it was an improvement, but the crazing in the lenses were so deep, you could still see them in the lense.:/

My last resort was to buy a pair, so i got on ebay, and bought a brand new pair for somewhere around $60 (the set you see ontop still wrapped in plastic.) And its a good thing I did diecided to replace the whole set, one of the headlight housings, had a broken mounting tab that came apart when i loosened the bolt. (probably fell victim to the extreme heat out here) The light would have still stayed in, but what if the rest of the tabs wore out and broke also? Anyways I got them in really easily, and at night I aimed them, and tried them out, I can see alot further now! Its amazing how much of a difference there is! Plus it looks alot better, I might have the only 2000 Taurus with bright and shiny lights! lol
