Description

This Revell kit was nothing but bad luck. I had a few fit issues with a few parts, and some paint mishaps.
I got this kit 4 years ago, had it painted and ready for assembly, then I realized, the front passenger side wheel was too far foreward and rubing on the fender. The chassis was aligned perfectly, and all the front suspension pieces where exacly where they should be...and the hood trim for some reason wasnt fitting right...I thought it was upside down but it wasnt fitting right either way, and all that messing around with it got glue on the paint onf the hood.....:/

So I just boxed everything up and let sit, and I kinda forgot about it. After some cleaning, I found the kit again, and decide to mess around with it. I was originally building it sotck, but I decide to make it into a custom, daily driver, kinda like something youd see today drving around. I wanted this to be a quick and simple build.

The paint on the rest of the car was ok, so I just added a few layers of clear over it after I added the bumble bee stripe decal from a 69 Charger. To fix my front suspension problem I just lowered the front, and the wheels seemed to fit nicely, and I added torque thrust wheels, tires with disk brakes that came from a 1932 Ford kit.

As for the hood I screwed up the paint on,I decided to make it a fiberglass hood by painting it satin black, and added photoetched hood pins. I left off that annoying trim piece, you can barely notice it missing.

The Hemi is pretty much stock besides the plug wires I added, but I somehow lost the aircleaner for it, so I used a stockcar styled oval aircleaner for the 2 carbs.
